6 miles north of Hwy 2. Washburn is the usual starting/ending point.Travel Times:

To get to Coal Dock Beach (our most popular put-in point)
Coming from Highway 2:
Drive thru downtown, turn right at the Washburn Museum (Central Avenue). The beach is on the left at the end of Central Avenue before the Coal Dock.
Coming from Bayfield:
Turn left at the Washburn Museum (Central
Avenue). The beach is on the left at the end of Central Avenue before
the Coal Dock.
